Half bound in black Leather with green cloth boards. Highly decorative gilt tooling to spine. Boards rubbed and worn to the extremities, spine rubbed and worn with a slight split to volume one. Top edge gilt. Volume one 748 pp, volume two 786 pp. Both volumes have marbled endpapers and decorative poem pasted down to front pastedown. With each volume having a portrait frontispiece of Robert Browning. Neat inscription to ffep to volume two.
