A beautifully bound book in it's original green cloth binding. Pretty pictorial front board and spine with bevelled edges. There is a little rubbing and wear to the corners and slight discolouration to the boards otherwise in good condition. Spine lightly sunned with shelf wear to the top and base. All edge gilt. Decorative end-papers with small neat inscription to the verso of the ffep. Ink signature to the top of the title page. Binding fairly tight. Foxing to the prelims and very occasionally throughout otherwise a good clean copy. Beautifully illustrated with 13 full page colour plates, all present, and numerous illustrations with-in the text. pp. vii + 376 + Publisher's list. Overall a good copy of this scarce title.
