A beautifully bound book bound in the publisher's original green cloth with decorative embossed detail to the front and rear and gilt titles and pictorial to the front. The boards are in good condition with just slight bumping to the corners. Gilt titles and small pictorial to the spine. The spine has split along the front outer hinge with fraying to the top and base. All edge gilt. Binding is weak with the front board and spine detached from the contents. Page extremities are a little age-toned with the occasional thumb mark and very light foxing throughout. Contents however are generally very clean. Beautifully illustrated with full page colour plates. pp. iv + 95 + 32. A good scarce first edition.
