A Complete Six Volume Set all bound in the publisher's original black cloth with embossed title to the front boards. All in good condition with very little wear. Spines all have red title bands with bright gilt titles. Satin book mark to all volumes. Some of the photographic plates stick together and where they have been pulled apart they have left paper residue to the opposite page. Pages though are clean and bright with no inscriptions or foxing. This six volume set lists and describes region by region every, church, monument, monastery, villa and fortress in Italy and covers over 3500 sites. A valuable reference book for historians and art historians alike. This is a heavy set and will need extra shipping.
