A Six Volume Set. All bound in green cloth in overall good condition despite bumping to the corners. Spines are rubbed and worn with with wear to the top and base especially to the base of volume five which has a closed tear. Bindings are weak especially to volumes one, two, three and five. Previous owners' label to the front paste down. Embossed stamp to the front free end-papers on volumes two through to volume six. Volume one has one page loose. Pages toned with the very occasional spot of foxing otherwise clean throughout. Volume one, pp. xi + 374. Published 1872. Volume two, pp. vi + 293. Published 1872. Volume three, pp. vi + 287.
