First Edition. Original blue cloth binding with pictorial and bright gilt titles to the front board, gilt titles and vignette to the spine. The binding is a little worn although generally in good condition. The spine has faded with wear/fraying to the top and base. Binding weak with the frontispiece loose. Pages slightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing otherwise clean throughout. Beautifully illustrated with four colour plates, including frontispiece, by T. J. Overnell. pp. 303. Overall a good copy.
