A very good 1916 reprint beautifully illustrated by Edmund Blampied with pictorial dust jacket. Original cream cloth boards in a very good clean condition and with minimal wear. Bright gilt motif to the front board and spine. Pictorial dust jacket in good condition despite closed tears to the extremities and a little discolouration to the rear. Top edge of the text block bright gilt. Housed in box with pictorial paper on-lay to the front. The box is a little worn with closed tears to the corners making the box a little loose. Binding tight. Beautiful pictorial end-papers. Vignette to the half title and title pages. Full page colour frontispiece with a further 11 throughout each with their own tissue guards. Pages are overall clean with just the occasional spot of foxing. pp. 369. Overall a very good copy.
