The book has a brilliant blue marbled front endpaper and all edges are also blue marbled and generally clean. The cover is in good condition with some shelf wear to corners and spine. Binding tight. Pages are generally very clean, although there is some foxing throughout. With numerous illustrations and plates. There is a large award label on front endpapers, presenting the book as an award from the governors of Christ's Hospital. pp. xiv + 427. Overall a stunning copy.
