Handsome prize binding in full brown leather in good condition despite a little surface wear. Ornate gilt spine which has slightly faded with black title band. All edges of the text block marbled. Marbled end-papers with presentation label to the front paste down dated 1860. First prelim contains small and neat blue crayon mark and has very light foxing. Previous prize owner's printed name on the dedication page. Pages are clean and bright throughout. pp.434. Overall condition: a lovely copy in the very good condition.
