Third Impression. Beautifully but simply bound in brown cloth with decorative embossed detail, small gilt motif and titles to the front. Gilt titles to the spine. Both volumes in a good clean condition and with minimal wear, just slight discolouration to the rear on volume one. Binding tight. Fore edge untrimmed. Previous owners' inscription to one of the prelims. Half title page to both volumes has remained uncut along the top edge. The occasional spot of foxing throughout otherwise pages are very clean throughout. Overall a very good set. Would make an ideal gift.
