Signed. First American edition dedicated to John Betjeman. Lovely original dust cover designed by Andor Braun - in good condition though price clipped and minor tear to back with a little shelfwear to extremities of spine and subtle lifting to front bottom. The book itself is in excellent condition, with deep green clothbound boards showing no fault. Along the spine, the gilt and brown titling is clear and bright. Printing is clean and free of any marks or faults, with the same going for feps and pastedowns. Signed to the title in blue ink - signature is blurred though still legible. A wonderfully preserved edition made even more desirable by Auden's own hand.
