Simply but beautifully bound in red cloth with gilt ruled border and titles to the front with gilt titles to the spine. Front board is in good condition with just a little bumping to the corners. Spine is sunned and the gilt dulled. Rear board although in good condition does show some discolouration. Top edge gilt and fore edge untrimmed. Previous owners' inscription to the front free endpaper. There is the occasional spot of foxing and thumb mark otherwise a good clean copy. Full page monochrome frontispiece and several illustrations throughout. pp. 309. Overall a good copy. Would make an ideal gift.
