Beautiful decorative boards with gilt details to front and spine. Overall good condition despite some discolouration, wear to the extremities and minor foxing to the text block. There is a neat inscription inside from Christmas 1894 on the pasted down front end paper as well as a small and old 'Boots Stationery Department ' sticker. Pages are generally clean with occasional foxing and include a full page frontispiece and illustrations throughout. pp.248 + 40. An ideal gift.
