Early Copy circa 1890's. Beautifully bound in red cloth with striking gilt pictorial and titles to the front. In good condition with the gilt still bright. Gilt vignette to the spine slightly dulled with light shelf wear to the top and base otherwise in good condition. Slight lean to the spine. Previous owners' inscription to the half title page dated 1892. Ex-libris label to the front free endpaper. Pages otherwise are beautifully clean throughout. Illustrated with full page monochrome frontispiece and several more throughout, vignette to each chapter heading and end. pp. vi + 352 + 32. Overall a very good copy. Would make an ideal gift.
