Original grey cloth boards with beautifully decorated front board and spine. In overall good condition, front board slightly worn but overall clean and bright. Just a touch of shelf wear to the top and base of the spine. Decorated endpapers with presentation label dated 1907 to the front paste down. Binding tight. Pages lightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing otherwise clean. Illustrated with full page monochrome frontispiece. Vignette to each chapter heading and end. pp. 319. Overall a good copy of a scarce title. Would make an ideal gift.
