Selected and retold for children by Gladys Davidson. Beautifully bound in purple with painted decoration to front cover and spine, gilt title to both front cover and spine. With a beautiful full-colour frontispiece, and both coloured and black and white illustrations throughout, although some of the black and white illustrations have been painted by a previous author. With inscription from previous owner on ffep, dated 1923, and all edges of text block coloured green, this book is in fair condition. pp. 352. Overall a nice copy.
