First Edition. Bound in the publishers' original red leather with stunning gilt decorated border to the front and rear boards and ornate gilt decoration and titles to the spine. Minor edge wear to the leather otherwise in very good condition with the gilt still bright. All edges of the text block gilt. Previous owners' small neat inscription to the front free endpaper. There is quite heavy foxing towards the front and rear of the book with foxing throughout although the pages are generally clean and in good condition. Overall a beautiful book.
