First Edition Hard Back. Quarter bound in green cloth with pictorial paper covered boards which show some discolouration and some loss to the extremities. All edges of the text block red and still fairly bright. Front board is partly detached from the contents with creasing to the front free endpaper. The half title page is stained while the rest of the pages although show the occasional thumb mark are clean throughout. Beautifully illustrated throughout with Caldecott's humorous observations on Victorian life and manners.
