The Whole Compiled From Official Documents, And The Most Impartial And Authentic Sources Of Information. Complete in two Volumes. Bound in full brown leather with ornate gilt borders to the boards, ornate gilt decoration, and title bands to the spines. The leather is heavily rubbed and worn with a little loss to the corners and to the top and base of the spines. All edges of the text block marble with marbled endpapers. Internally the binding is tight. Previous owners' small signature to one of the blank prelims. While the pages are generally clean there is the occasional page with heavy foxing/toning including the plates. The text is double columned. Volume I, pp. x + advert +  874, illustrated with four folding maps and 18 plates, one missing to page 771. General Mackinnon. Volume II, pp. vii + 875 to 1741 illustrated with one folding map and 16 plates. Overall a good working copy. This set is heavier than average and so may incur extra postal charges.
