With A Preface And Memoir Of Emily And Anne Bronte by Charlotte Bronte. Handsomely bound in rich brown leather with beautiful ornate gilt decoration to the front and spine. In overall good condition with just a little rubbing and wear to the extremities, and minor discolouration to the rear. Spine very lightly sunned however the gilt is still fairly bright. The top edge of the text block is gilt and internally the binding is tight. The pages are generally clean despite the occasional spot of foxing although more so to the prelims. Beautifully illustrated with sixteen coloured plates by Percy Tarrant. pp. 356. Overall a beautiful copy of a title widely considered to be one of the greatest novels ever written in English.
