Hardback. Handsomely bound in rich red textured leather with gilt titles to the front, gilt titles, and decoration to the spine. In overall good condition with the front still bright and clean, there is a little fading to the spine and the lower edge of the rear cover. The top edge of the text block is gilt and is still fairly bright while the fore edge remains free of any marks. Red marbled endpapers show no inscriptions while the pages remain clean throughout. Illustrated with a full-page monochrome frontispiece and vignette to the title page both encased in an ornate decorated border. pp. xii + 814. Overall a lovely copy. Would make an ideal gift.
