Pictorial endpapers show no bookplates, the pages within although lightly toned are clean throughout. Illustrated with the occasional colour and monochrome photographic plate. pp. xv + 510. Overall a very good copy. Hilary Spurling's biography explores the many friendships, love affairs, and the strong, durable marriage of Anthony Powell.
