Hardback, 1971 reprint, with a new introduction by Professor Jack Simmons. The dust jacket is a little worn with chipping to the extremities, piece missing to the top of the spine and to the fore-edge of the rear cover which has been crudely repaired by tape. Underneath lie black cloth boards which although are worn to the extremities are clean and generally in good condition. The edges of the text block are a little grubby with the front and rear free endpaper's missing. The rest of the pages are clean and in good condition. Nichol's History and Antiquities of The County Leicester is the largest of the English county histories of the eighteenth century. This reproduces the original exactly although it has a slightly smaller and more convenient page size. This book is heavier than average and may require extra shipping.
