First Book Club Edition. The illustrated dust jacket although generally in good condition does show a little foxing to the front cover with toning to the spine and rear. Minor edge wear especially to the top of the spine. There is a very light lean to the spine. Not price clipped. The original navy cloth boards are a little bumped to the corners with minor fading to the top of the spine otherwise clean and in good condition. Light foxing to the edges of the text block. The pages are very clean throughout with just the merest hint of foxing to the margins. pp. 184. Overall a good copy. The twelfth novel in the celebrated spy series, published in the same year as the true first.
