Hardback. A complete two volume set beautifully illustrated with many line drawings and the occasional chromolithographic plate. Bound in half leather with cloth boards, gilt titles and embossed detail to the spines. The cloth has faded over time with some discolouration while there is rubbing and wear to the leather. Internally there is the occasional thumb mark and spot of foxing with a previous owner's signature to the front free endpaper of volume I. Overall a good set internally with some lovely illustrations however, the binding although sound is worn. This set is heavy and may require extra shipping.
