Enlarged with over three hundred and sixty none medicines, made of English herbs, that were not in any impression since this. Hardback, circa 1786. Handsomely rebound in half tan leather with paper-covered boards. Black title band to the spine with bright gilt titles. The binding is in good condition with no discoloration and hardly any wear, the title band is slightly lifting long the edges. New endpapers with previous owner's inscription and small label to the front free endpaper. The prelims including the title page are missing as well as about four pages to the rear. The pages are toned / darkened, more heavily towards the front with a little creasing and curling to the page corners. The pages, otherwise are clean throughout. Overall a good copy of an iconic book famous for its source of pharmaceutical and herbal lore of the time.
