Beeton's comprehensive Victorian dictionary of general knowledge. Featuring a fold-out illustrated frontispiece as well as numerous illustrations within the text. Half bound in tan leather with marble paper covered boards. The boards and leather are rubbed and worn with a little loss to the corners and along the top edge. All edges of the text block marble as well as marble endpapers. The binding is still fairly tight despite cracking to the rear internal hinge. Despite the very occasional spot of foxing the pages are very clean throughout. pp. vi + 1664. Overall a good copy.
