Hardback. 1864 SO Beeton Edition with a beautifully illustrated chromolithographic frontispiece and title page and numerous monochrome engravings within the text. Handsomely bound in red cloth and although the cloth has faded, especially to the spine, it is in good condition. Internally the binding is tight. There is a small previous owner's signature to the verso of the frontispiece. The pages are slightly toned with the occasional thumb mark although generally clean throughout. pp. xxxvi + 364. Overall a lovely copy.
