From the Beeton Collection, a seriously comprehensive dictionary in half soft leather. Simple and elegant broad spine with doubled ruled gilt lines and a gilt title set off against a dark green panel. Pages are clean with thoughtful illustrations which accompany the text as well as an unusual fold-out frontispiece of architectural orders, Bannister-Fletcher style, which has a small tear and is heavily creased in the middle. A little cracking to the hinges despite a generally tight binding - no loose pages. Foxing to the endpapers and a little to the text block. The boards are a little grubby with a slight crack to one of the joints. pp.1663. Good.
