Volume I. Camden Third Series Volume XLV. Hard back. Both front and rear boards are in very good condition, the front retaining a simple embossed design and gold gilt symbol. The spine is a little faded, but the gold gilt title and design remains bright, it is slightly worn, especially along the top and bottom edges. The edges of the paper are a little foxed and worn along the top edge. Internally, there is foxing and a small pencil inscription belonging to a previous owner on in the front free end pages. There is also some foxing throughout the appendix and rear end papers. There is some slight foxing and a number of small pencil marks through, but the text remains readable. pp. xvii + 296. Overall, a very good copy of the first volume in a comprehensive collection of documents illustrating the activities of the General and Provincial Chapters of the English Black Monks.
