Hard back. The front and rear boards are in a very good condition, a little faded, with some very slight marks and wear to the extremities. The spine is a little worn on the top and bottom edges, and is very faded, particularly the gilt text. Internally, there is some foxing in the front end papers, including three small pencil and ink inscriptions from previous owners. The pages are faded throughout, and there is some very occasional foxing, but the text remains readable and clear. pp. 112. Overall, a very good copy of Henry VIII's fascinating letters with all six of his wives, including relevant historical commentary from the editor, and clear images of facsimile reproductions of the Vatican Letters between Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII.
