Hard back. Front and rear boards are both a little worn with some markings, especially around the extremities. The spine is worn, particularly along the top and bottom edges, and the text is a little faded. Internally, there is some very slight foxing to the front free end papers, as well as an ink inscription belonging to a previous owner. There is foxing to the edges of some of the pages, but the text remains readable throughout. pp. xl + 171. Overall, a very good copy of the English version of the Lay of Havelok, including notes and a glossary.
