Soft back. The front and rear covers show some sign of wear, with slight markings to both, and some minor wear to the extremities. The spine is a little faded and slightly worn along the top and bottom edges. There is foxing to the top and fore edges of the pages. Internally, there is a small pencil inscription on the verso of the front cover, and another opposite this in pencil on the title page, both from previous owners. The pages are clean throughout, with the text very readable. pp. 116. Overall, a very good copy of a useful text examining the marriage laws and traditions in the British Isles.
