Hard back. Front and rear green cloth boards retain their colour well, as well as gold gilt title to the front remaining bright. Few signs of wear, especially around the extremities. The spine is a little worn on the top and bottom edges, but the gilt title is clear. The edges of the pages are in a very good condition. Internally, there is a small pencil inscription from a previous owner on the front free end papers. Pages clean throughout and text readable. pp. xii + 448. Overall, a very good copy of this volume of the Guide to Manuscripts in the Huntington Library, with an archive of over 450,000 pieces, making this a valuable reference resource.
