Half leather with unique elegant marbled boards, a little worn around the extremities, and some very slight scratches. Spine faded and worn along top and bottom edges, but gold gilt titles remain bright. Marbled edges to the papers. Internally, there are beautifully marbled end papers. Two small ink inscriptions in the front free end papers and slight foxing due to age, also in the rear end papers. Pages clean throughout. pp. 190 + 237. Overall, a beautiful binding of two works by Henry James.
