Hard back. Front and rear boards show some signs of wear, with a number of small marks and notches, and wear to the extremities. The front board retains a elegant embossed design. The spine is rather faded and worn, especially along the top and bottom edges, but its title and design remains visible. All edges of the text block faded and slightly foxed. Internally, illustrated front and rear end papers with maps of Cumberland and Westmorland. Small pencil inscription belonging to a previous owner on the half title page. Foxing throughout, but all text readable. pp. xv + 187. Overall, a good copy of this useful volume about the churches of Cumberland and Westmorland, with useful illustrations and diagrams.
