The Paston Letters: In Two Volumes

Edited by John Warrington

Edition: Revised Reprint

Published By: J. M. Dent & Sons

Everyman's Library 752 and 753. Both jackets are rather worn, particularly to the extremities, but retain their striking red colour well. Volume II has a small tear to the front which has been repaired by a previous owner. Spines of both volumes are a little faded, and particularly worn along the top and bottom edges. Top edge of the text block is faded on both. Internally, both have some ink markings on the verso of the front board, as well as small stickers belonging to a previous bookseller. There is a small pencil inscription belonging to a previous owner on the half title page in both. Pages are a little faded due to age, but text is readable throughout. Vol I: pp. xxiii + 264. Vol II: pp. xi + 283. Overall, a very good two volume copy of The Paston Letters: the private correspondence, state papers, and legal documents belonging to members of the Paston family of Norfolk 1418-1506.
