Folio Society 8 volume set of Gibbons' masterful history classic. Each volume with individual slipcase, and bound in brown cloth which offsets the gilt geometrical patterning to each front. The spines look very good with gilt titles partitioned by further borders. Pages appear unread with illustrations throughout. Slipcases have a little wear with small dark marks to some of the backs. A few pencil numbers correcting dates in the first volume. Overall very good.
