The Weekly magazine first published in 1868 and founded by Thomas Gibson Bowles best known for it's witty prose and caricatures of famous people of the Victorian and Edwardian society. This is a bound volume containing 25 original Spy prints. This volume is missing it's front board and spine as well as the prelims and title page, pages 73 & 74 as well as pages 209 & 210 are also missing. The remaining rear board is bound in green cloth and shows some discolouration. There is a little foxing throughout however the pages are generally clean. The prints are in very good condition except for one which has a little tape repair to the margin. Some of the Spy prints included in this volume are "He Walked Across Africa" Verney Lovett Cameron. "Customs" Thomas Freemantle, 1st Baron Cottesloe. "The Swell of the Ocean" Beauchamp Page-Seymour. "The Queen's Landlord" Colonel James Farquharson. And many more. pp. 430.
