Attractive volume bound in stunning tree calf leather with tooling to inner and outer edges, each panel on the spine is divided by raised banding and is centred by gilt floral design. Gilt title offset on a burgundy panel. The text block gilding has been well preserved, still very bright. Lovely green marbled endpapers. Two bookplates affixed with neat signature. Sharp, clean pages with occasional foxing and frontispiece pf Longfellow protected by tissue guard. Some rubbing and abrasions to the spine. pp.630. Very good. An opportunity to add to any growing poetry collection. c.1905
