Hardback. The iconic first edition by Milne, with the perfect accompaniment of illustrations by the celebrated illustrator E.H. Shepard. Another book of verses by A.A. Milne for, Christopher Robin. Complete with the original dustjacket. Handsomely bound in the original red cloth with gilt ruled border and gilt pictorial to the front, gilt titles to the spine and small gilt pictorial of Winnie-The-Pooh to the rear. In good condition with the front board still clean and bright. There is some fading to the top of the spine and a little to the rear. The dustjacket is a little discoloured with slight edge wear, small piece missing to the top and base of the spine. The top edge of the text block is gilt and is still fairly bright. The pictorial endpapers show no previous owners' inscriptions or bookplates. The pages are generally very clean with just the odd thumb mark. pp. x + 103. Overall a good copy. This would make a lovely gift.
