Second Edition. A lovely collectible copy of one of the most iconic children's books ever written. Replete with the beautiful illustrations of EH Shepard. Bound in the original rich green cloth with gilt-ruled border and pictorial to the front, and gilt titles to the spine. In very good condition with the cloth still bright and clean, minor crease and blemish to the front, hardly noticeable. The spine has very lightly faded with light off-setting to the rear. Minor blemish to the base of the spine. The top edge of the text block is gilt and is still fairly bright while the fore edge and base remain free of any marks. Internally the pictorial endpaper are clean. The pages are clean and bright throughout with the exception of pages 94, 100 to 107 which just have a little blemish to the margins. pp. 158. A beautiful book.
