Hard back cloth bound. No date, presumed first edition. Beautifully bound in deep green cloth with decorative design to the boards and spine. The binding is a little worn with fading to the gilt on the spine. All edges of the text block gilt and still fairly bright. Front free endpaper missing. Pages lightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing otherwise clean throughout, beautifully illustrated with full page colour frontispiece and several engraving throughout. pp. v + 656. Overall a good copy.
