Volume 3 of Beeton's iconic English Woman's Domestic Magazine. Originally a monthly magazine published between 1852 and 1879 it was jointly edited by Mrs Isabella Beeton and her husband Samuel Orchart Beeton, with Isabella contributing on sections of household management, fashion and embroidery. The cloth has faded especially to the spine with wear to the extremities. Internally the text block is loose with cracking to the internal hinges with the prelims and frontispiece loose. There are numerous illustrations with-in the text including an illustrated title page and frontispiece. There is a beautiful inscription to the front free endpaper and while the pages are toned with the odd spot of foxing they are generally clean. pp. viii + 392. A beautiful copy of a scarce work.
