Hardback clothbound. Two Volumes, Edited by Reginald Brimley Johnson. Sense and Sensibility second edition, October 1900. Beautifully bound in pale green cloth with dark green printed pictorial detail and gilt titles to the front. The binding is a little discoloured with lifting of the cloth along the fore-edge while there is some splitting along the rear outer hinge of the spine to volume I. The decorative endpapers although lightly toned remain free of any bookplates or inscriptions while the text block is still fairly tight with no loose pages. Beautifully illustrated with several full-page colour plates including the frontispiece. The pages remain clean with just the very occasional spot of foxing. A lovely set in overall good condition, ideal as a gift for any fan of Jane Austen beautifully illustrated by C.E. & H.M. Brock.
