Stunning gilt decoration to the front and spine, holly and mistletoe bordering a charming festive scene, still very bright. The pages are clean with a light foxing and great illustrations by Randolph Caldecott. A neat inscription to the rear of the front free endpaper, and bookplate affixed to the pasted down front endpaper. Mild internal cracking, slightly lose binding, the boards are slightly bent and with marginal wear to the extremities. Frontispiece of a mansion in great detail opposite the title page depicting robins and thursh amongst holly. pp.xiv+165. Good. Would make a spefect Christmas gift.
