Hardback clothbound. Two Volumes, Reprinted from the First Edition of 1816. Edited by Reginald Brimley Johnson. Emma, 1900. Beautifully bound in pale green cloth with dark green printed pictorial detail and gilt titles to the front. The cloth is in good condition with just a little darkening to the spines.The top edge of the text block is gilt while the fore edge remains untrimmed. Decorative endpapers are lightly foxed but remain free of any bookplates or inscriptions. There is a little cracking to the gutter on volume one with the title page and several pages after, upto page 8 a little loose. Beautifully illustrated with several full-page colour plates including the frontispiece. The pages remain clean with just the very occasional spot of foxing. A lovely set in overall good condition, ideal as a gift for any fan of Jane Austen beautifully illustrated by C.E. & H.M. Brock.
