Hardback, Third Impression. 1913. With an Introduction by Edmondo De Amicis. Translated From The Italian by J.E.C. Eaton. Handsomely bound in full green cloth which is in good condition despite a little bumping to the extremties. Despite a little fading to the spine the gilt titles are still bright although there is minor edge wear and a light lean. Inernally the text block is tight with no loose pages. The pages are bright and clean with just the very occasional spot of foxing, with 37 illustrations by Edoardo Rubino together with 11 photographs. pp. 336. Overall a good copy. A lovely book on the early history of The Matterhorn.
