First Edition hardback. Bound in the publisher's original dark green cloth with printed pictorial of a mountain to the front. The cloth has darkened slightly especailly to the spine. The spine has a closed tear along the top edge and a score mark to the lower half. Internally the text block is tight and the pages despite the occasional spot of foxing are clean throughout. With 16 full page illustraions by A.D. M'Cormick and a chapter by the Rev. W.A.B. Coolidge. pp. vi + 300. Overall a good copy.
