First Edition Hardback. Handsomley bound in rich navy cloth with bright gilt titles to the front and spine. The binding is in a good clean condition with just minmal wear to the extremities and a little discolouration to the front. Internally the text block is tight with no loose pages. There is a previous owner's small book plate to the front paste down and some foxing throughout, however the pages are generally clean. Illustrated with several photographic plates of the Everest expedition and folding maps to the rear. pp. xi + 356. Colonel Howard-Bury led the first official expedition to the top of Everest in 1921. Overall a good + copy.
